Organized by ANW Conference’s Abuse Prevention and Education Committee

“Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional.” Max Lucado

Most occupations involve a considerable amount of human interaction on a variety of levels. Yet, many employees lack the necessary skill to effectively manage conflict.

The Verbal Edge International training program emphasizes the importance of the professional mindset (controlling emotions), as opposed to the personal mindset (being controlled by emotions), as a means of non-escalation or, if required, de-escalation. The application of these skills reduces stress and complaints while increasing confidence improving morale.

Verbal Edge International teaches the skills necessary to become an effective communicator, enabling participants to ‘say it right the first time’ as a means of creating and cultivating healthy relationships at work or at home.

Emphasis is placed on Verbal Edge theories and concepts that enable participants to respond professionally during moments of turmoil. The one-day program provides participants with a solid foundation on the core principles of effective conflict management.
