“By all these lovely tokens, September days are here. With summer’s best of weather and autumn’s best of cheer.” Helen Hunt Jackson

Here are September’s stewardship tidbits for your information!

The Rev. Dr Christopher Levan will be the theme speaker at a stewardship event sponsored by Alberta and Northwest Conference’s Stewardship and Mission Education Committee on October 19th and 20th at Sunnybrook United Church in Red Deer, AB.   Registration forms will be available through the Conference Office and website shortly.  We hope to see you there!

The September and October “Generosity, Giving and Gratitude Ideas”, along with a bonus of Year-Round Ideas, are attached.

Many congregations choose to use our congregational giving program, “Called to Be the Church”, in the Fall.  Will you be one of them?  Download as much as you need of this year’s program, “Loving Our Neighbours”.

If doing a program on your own seems like too much for your congregation, then talk with your neighbouring congregations and work on it together.  Sharing the planning and workload makes it easier for everyone and is just plain good stewardship … everyone wins!

Have you ever wondered whether average or median giving statistics are better?  The attached “Average or Median Giving” article has some thoughts about that for your consideration.

For those of you who use Canada Helps for your online giving, an updated information sheet can be found here.

Thank you for transferring your Mission & Service gifts regularly!
